Reviews:

“With the comedy flowing at an excellent pace and the series of unfortunate events that follow our hapless heroes, regardless of which wrong turn they take, you will be glued and wondering how (or even if) they will get out of the sticky situation they find themselves in…” The B Club

“Cynical as that breakdown may sound it works beautifully. What makes this film stand head and shoulders above many comedy-horror films is in the writing. Elements of the group, genuinely feel like real, heart-felt friends who’ve just grown apart from each other.” Stuart Wright, Britflicks

“It’s an absolute breath of fresh air for both British film and the horror genre. I felt as excited and enthralled by it as I did watching Shaun of the Dead for the first time and I laughed as much as, if not more than, I did when I binge-watched The Inbetweeners.” Entertainment in Focus

FUBAR earns a lot of marks for developing an original idea in a manner which feels creative, making good use of the means at its disposal. It is a gory and fun bite of Brit-horror, not quite to the levels of something like Shaun, but certainly more than entertaining in its own right.” The Hollywood News

“The final act was where it started to falter a little, as the scenario became a little unbelievable, and the running time could’ve been cut by about 10-20 minutes. However, this film overall was a fun and hilarious ride into complete mayhem that echoes an Edgar Wright film.” Jump Cut Online

“As usual, the gross-out gags are less squirm-inducing than the casually bad behaviour of all concerned – and the fine line between criticising useless w*nkers and celebrating their awfulness is obliterated swiftly. It gets more interesting in the later stages…” The Kim Newman Web Site

F.U.B.A.R starts off very well and the first twenty minutes are just very very funny. It does get lost a bit somewhere in the middle third but things pick up again for the finale. Part Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, part Severance, F.U.B.A.R is really entertaining…”

“The heart of the film is the difficulty that middle-aged men have maintaining or forming bonds, but its guts are a series of increasingly gory, only semi-accidental kills. Though hit and miss, the jokes here make it hard – confronting even – to work through whether we are supposed to be laughing with or at these ridiculous manchildren.” Projected Figures
